14-319 (1-14) Texas Motor Vehicle Tax Exemption Certicate for Agricultural/Timber Farmers, ranchers, agricultural producers and timber operators, who hold a valid Texas Agriculture and Timber Exemption Registration Number (Ag/Timber Number) issued by the Comptrollers ofce, should provide this completed form to sellers or dealers of motor vehicles when claiming an agricultural or timber exemption from Texas motor vehicle sales and use tax on the purchase of farm machines, timber machines, trailers and semitrailers used primarily in agricultural and timber operations. Seller/Dealer Information Name of seller / dealer Address (Street and number, P.O. Box or route number) City, State, ZIP code Phone (Area code and number) Purchaser Information Name of purchaser Address (Street and number, P.O. Box or route number) City, State, ZIP code Phone (Area code and number) Ag/Timber Number Name of person to whom number is registered, if different than purchaser I, the purchaser or authorized person named above, claim an exemption from the payment of motor vehicle sales and use tax for the purchase of the motor vehicle described below for the reason indicated. Vehicle identication number Make Model year Purchaser claims the exemption for the following reason: Farm machine, as dened in Rule 3.72(a)(3) Timber machine, as dened in Rule 3.72(a)(11) Farm trailer, as dened in Rule 3.72(a)(4) Timber trailer, as dened in Rule 3.72(a)(14) I understand that I am required to keep records to verify eligibility for the exemption(s), and that I will be required to pay motor vehicle sales or use tax on purchases that do not qualify for the exemption(s), in addition to any applicable interest and penalties. I understand that it is a criminal offense to issue an exemption certicate to the seller for taxable items that I know will be used in a manner that does not qualify for the exemptions found in Tax Code Section 152.091. The offense may range from a Class C misdemeanor to a felony of the second degree.
