Massachusetts Sales Tax Exempt Purchaser Certificate
A sales tax exemption certificate can be used by businesses (or in some cases, individuals) who are making purchases that are exempt from the Massachusetts sales tax. When a business is providing products or a service to a government organization, this certificate should be presented. It provides a sales tax exemption. All purchases must be listed and described on the second page of the certificate. The Purchaser (as agent for the government body) and Vendor must also provide certain information.
