Arizona Resale Exemption Certificate
A sales tax exemption certificate can be used by businesses (or in some cases, individuals) who are making purchases that are exempt from the Arizona sales tax. This form allows retailers to purchase goods in Arizona to be resold at wholesale prices without paying tax on the wholesale cost. When using this form, you are agreeing to charge sales tax at the time of resale. It is important to note that should your business decide not to use the wholesale items for their intended purposeãto be resold in some formãthen you are responsible to paying the necessary sales tax on the times. Furthermore, it is the sellerês responsibility to maintain records of tax-free sales. If proof of exemption cannot be shown, the seller will be responsible for the tax obligation.
