A sales tax exemption certificate can be used by businesses (or in some cases, individuals) who are making purchases that are exempt from the Idaho sales tax. Idaho exempt buyers can use this form to purchase goods free from sales tax. When the purchased goods are resold, sales tax should be collected. In addition, business owners with a sellerĂªs permit number can use this form for tax-exempt status when acquiring wholesale goods with the intention of using them for retail. This certificate must be kept by the seller as proof of tax exemption.
