Alabama Sales Tax Holiday Calendar

A sales tax holiday is an annual event during which the Alabama Department of Revenue allows certain items to be purchased sales-tax-free at any participating retailer within the state.

Alabama allows you to purchase the following items tax-free during their annual sales tax holidays: In August: Up to $30 worth of books, $50 worth of school supplies, $100 worth of clothing, and $750 in computers. In February: $1,000 in electricity generators, $60 in hurricane preparedness supplies.
