Virginia Sales Tax Holiday Calendar
A sales tax holiday is an annual event during which the Virginia Department of Taxation allows certain items to be purchased sales-tax-free at any participating retailer within the state.
Virginia allows you to purchase the following items tax-free during their annual sales tax holidays: $60 worth of hurricane preparedness items and $1,000 worth of generators in May; $20 in school supplies and $100 worth of clothing on August; $2,500 worth of Energy Star qualified products and appliances in October.
