How to get a Nebraska Sales Tax Permit:

Nebraska is one of the few states that still does not offer any online method to obtain a sales tax license. You'll have to obtain a license the old-fashioned way, by submitting a completed copy of Form 20, the Nebraska Tax Application. This form will allow you to apply for any tax permits and Department of Revenue accounts you will need to run your business. You will generally need to have a federal EIN number before you apply.

By default, you will need to submit a unique Form 20 application for each physical location you have in Nebraska. If you want to request combined sales tax filing for two or more retail locations, you must complete Nebraska Form 11.

You can request more details or have forms sent to you by calling the Nebraska Department of Revenue at 800-742-7474 (NE and IA) or 402-471-5729.
