Who needs a Missouri Sales Tax License?
All businesses that sell tangible property with a tax nexus in Missouri must register for a Missouri sales tax license.

How to get a Missouri Sales Tax License:
You can complete your entire sales tax registration online, and must have an EIN number and a registered business entity before you begin. If you need to add an additional location or add a sales tax license to an exisiting account, you will need to use the paper Form 53-1.
Missouri requires a deposit / bond to be paid upon application for a sales tax license that is equal to three times the average amount of sales/use tax that will be owed by your business. You can use the official Missouri sales tax bond calculator to determine the amount of bond you must post. You will not be issued a sales tax license until your bond clears, but you can request a refund of your bond after two years of on-time tax payments.
